Today was an amazing day...I was able to attend the Joining Forces One Year Anniversary event.  I listened to Dr. Jill Biden and Michelle Obama thank military families for their sacrifice, dedication and service to our country.  There was also a challenge to the American public to continue showing their support to military families, and even better, to exceed expectations.  Mrs. Obama wanted military families to know that America is a grateful nation for all we endure (and wants the nation to show it)!

Today we added Renley's sister to our home.  Fortunately for us, her original owners (they put a deposit down on her), for whatever reason were unreachable when it came time to send her to her new home.  When the breeder asked me to spread the word that Renley's sister was available, we decided she needed to come home to us!

Crashed for the night...playing is hard work (as is protecting my toys!). 

And at the end of the day, sisters easily share the same bed.

More pictures of Renley  

Just like a newborn, she has short periods of playfulness with lots of sleeping in-between.  She does prefer to sleep as close to one of us as she can (preferably on our laps).  If I leave her on the floor, or put her in her bed, she ends up moving so she is laying on my feet (or as near it as she can get).  Its easier to keep track of her by putting her in my lap so I don't accidentally trip over her.

We have a new member in our family...

Renley is an 8 week old English Toy Spaniel.  We are so happy to have added her, that we have decided that we need to add her sister also (she'll be arriving on Monday).

I'm sure everyone is going to be sick of photos of Renley (and her sister), but like new mothers that are taking pictures of their newborns, we are like new parents.
